Scheduling...Making the Most of It
When planning for the needs of a child or teen who is dyslexic, think consistency and regular, planned opportunities for practice of skills!
Every child has his or her own unique set of challenges whether it is in Reading, Math, another area or many.
Each child learns at his or her own pace and there is no easy way to predict how long it will take to remediate difficulties in Reading.
When working specifically with a student having significant challenges in reading, I must see that student a minimum of 2 hours each week in order for meaningful progress to be made. Ideally, I would like to see a child 3-4 times each week for 45-60 minutes each time.
